Due to lack of spirit and lack of players, Russ decided to resign from both Skippering the club and playing
id like to wish everyone who tried and helped out good luck with the future.
the rest well done in ruining a good club !!!

Umpires Man of the Match: Alan York (sweet) 5 Wkts for 26 Runs
A new youthful look with many new players making there ASCC debut, young Leg spinner Alan York moving From Hinckley along with Harry Horlsey and Ash Harrison
having won the toss ASCC decided to bat 1st, pitch played well considering the weather through the week, setting a total slightly below par 142 sports needed to start fast
at drinks 25 overs Walsall’s total was 65-5, game on with good spells from Ibby skipper Rice and youngsters Yorkie and Harrison, then the magic came from Walsall Nagman smashing 42 from 2 overs and finishing with 70 from 31 balls to end any hope that ascc would take maximum points
Walsall finished 143-6 in 31 overs
great spells from all with a minor hurricane in the 26/27th over – not sure what they gave him at drinks
3 points gained not a great start after last years near promotion
1st game is 1st May 2008 away to Ansley CC
having secured promotion to Division 1 on Thursdays and narrowly missing out on promotion on saturdays the club are in a rebuilding faze
new faces signed up for 2008, Talented Hinckley Batsmen Harry Horsley along with the future Alan York another good batter but his main task is to bedazzle everyone with his leg spin
